1999 Bandit 600 dead electric
Hello
The battery was dead on my 1999 600. It would not hold a charge so I bought a replacement and fitted it. On attempting the start, I got a clicking noise from the starter solenoid so I replaced that too.
My problem now is I do not get any ignition lights and the electrics are completely dead. I can short the solenoid connectors with a pair of pliers and the engine turns over so the battery is still good. I have reverted back to the old solenoid and still no ignition lights. I can't find any loose or broken wires around the area of the solenoid so I'm puzzled.
Any ideas? I have checked the kill switch is not on. Otherwise can anyone recommend a good trustworthy local or mobile expert who may have the skills I don't to find and repair the fault? (Leeds/Bradford).

Start with basics
All fuses checked inc any that might mot be in the fuse box ?
Do you have a meter ?
If so check under the ignition switch for a live

Fuses Ok
All fuses (in the fuse box) intact - as is the one in the starter solenoid. Are there any more? I'll try and get hold of a multimeter. The ignition looks fiddly to get at but will give it a go.
