vacuum issue /fuel pickup
Hi all,
New to the site. I have a 2001 1200s bandit with rebuilt carbs, the tank has been completely cleaned with new gas and additive, anda new air filter. I have good spark as well. I will try and start the bike and it will run for about 20 seconds then shuts down. Could there be a problem with the diaphram / o-ring in the fuel valve being it has a vacuum line attached to it? Your help would be greatly appreciated.

It's sounds like a fuel issue to me.... Are you using a fuel filter?

Try starting the bike on prime with full choke, they can be cold hearted little bastards. As above if it has an extra fuel filter remove it as the fuel tap has a good built in one. If you have had the tank off make sure you have put the vaccum hose back on right, although if you try it on prime like I said above, the vaccum hose wont be needed for fuel, bit it will stop xtra air going in that carb. Hope it works
