GSF 1200 Ignition switch
This will sound like a silly question, but I'll explain...
When you look down at the ignition switch, without the key in place, you have the diagonal slot where the key goes in and the area to one side of it is flat and the other side has a half-circle, bowl shaped depression. On your 1200 is the flat side on the left or right side?
The reason I ask is because I'm rehabbing a '99 1200 which has sat for 10 years. I lost the key in a move, so step 1 is to get a key. I removed the ignition switch to take it to a locksmith. After removing the switch, I removed the cover over the switch and the little disk that is part I described above, popped out. When I go to put it back, there it nothing that shows which way it goes. I can rotate it 180 degrees and it fits fine either way.
Thanks.
