fuel economy
Hey guys, 2001 1200s that I'm only getting 22/23 mpg's on. The thing runs like a top, tons of power, no smoking, idles and accelerates very well. I only get 120 miles or so per tank. Is this normal? Seems low to me. Any advice would be appreciated.

fuel economy
I'm getting approx 85 miles for £11 fuel, which isn't bad going considering I don't drive slowly...I think that works out at over 40mpg..my car does 100 miles for £15 fuel, so is about the same or better than that and my car does 42.5mpg round town.. carbs running rich wouldn't make any bike do 23mpg...I suggest you check your maths before thinking there is something wrong with the bike...a tank full of fuel should get you 130 miles, but the tank doesn't hold a lot of fuel...I haven't run mine onto reserve yet '97 1200s, to see what the exact mileage is that it does because I can't be bothered running the risk of running out of fuel..Paul...Poole Dorset
