KPH Speedo??
Hi all,
I'm new to the forum and have a question regarding my Mk1 1200 Bandit:
The bike is an import and as such has a KPH speedo on it. My question is, can I do a straight swap with a MPH speedo, or would anything else need to be changed? ie, if I rode 100 miles, would a mph odometer read 100miles, or as it is originally a kph bike, would it be showing what it would do for kph.....(ie 160miles)
Thanks in advance
Tina

Re: KPH Speedo??
im not sure if a straight swap will work , im not to clued up about it but if you give it some thought , and maby im wrong , one rotation of the wheel will give you x number of meters , with x number of rotations will in turn give you 1 km , swapping to a MPH clock i think might throw it out , but if you think from the other point of view , MK1 Bandits would been been made the same , speedo sender would possibly be the same and the Clocks them self might have the different mechanism inside . its a six of one - half a dozen of the other argument
but good luck , let us know how it goes
